About Us

Dr. Sherlynn Walker-Shakir is the owner of the Sahirah Family Wellness Center. Her training includes Western Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and herbalogy. She holds a dual doctorate in both Clinical Psychology and Acupuncture/Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Shakir has treated patients within Psychiatric hospitals, Veteran’s Clinics, Rady’s Children Hospital, and currently at the University of Maryland’s Health Center. She is licensed within the state of Maryland and has established her private practice, Sahirah Family Wellness Center, in the city of Rockville Md.
